| Q1. What is a Business Enterprise Centre? |
Answer: Business Enterprise Centres are independent, community-based organisations established under a company structure with boards of directors to provide free and confidential advice and assistance to existing and potential small business owners and operators.
BECs also assist existing small businesses experiencing difficulties or wishing to expand, as well as providing assistance to innovators wishing to evaluate and commercialise their inventions.
Additional services offered include:- provision of training workshops
- assistance in doing business plans
- access to business information, both in print and electronically3
- networking and numerous other business-related activities
