The Eastern Suburbs Business Enterprise Centre (ESBEC) is part of a national initiative to assist in the growth and success of small businesses in Australia.
Business Enterprise Centres are independent, community-based organisations established under a company structure with boards of directors. They provide free and confidential advice and assistance to existing and potential small business owners and operators.
Founded in 1990, ESBEC identifies and delivers an evolving range of practical services to existing, new and intended businesses. These include:
• provision of training workshops
• business consultancy and advice
• access to business information, both in print and electronically
• networking and numerous other business-related activities
• member benefits
ESBEC is located in Newland St, Bondi Junction. Clearly Business, in Castlereagh St, Sydney, offers a similar range of services, but also serviced offices and training facilities . The Eastern Suburbs BEC also provides the Sydney Business Advisory Service on behalf of the New South Wales Department of State & Regional Development
Together ESBEC and Clearly Business support businesses in the local government areas of Ashfield, Bankstown, Burwood, Canada Bay, City of Sydney, Leichardt, Marrickville, Randwick, Strathfield, Waverley and Woollahra.
The services provided by Eastern Suburbs Business Enterprise Centre Limited are partially funded by the Australian Government.'.
